Karen & Gary, Loch Ness Country House Hotel

Karen & Gary, Loch Ness Country House Hotel

On a rain-soaked day, Karen & Gary married at St Mary’s Church in Inverness.  The rain did little to dampen their wedding day as they exchanged rings and said their vows to each other.

During the ceremony, readings were performed by their friends Claire & Allan and whilst signing the registrar another friend, Paul played the guitar.   The couple were then led down the aisle by the Piper where some photos were taken outside of the church.

At Loch Ness Country House Hotel photographer David Thompson organised the photo-shoot indoors with Karen & Gary whilst the guests mingled and enjoyed canapes.

Under marque the speeches started with the father of the bride…and what speeches !    Gary had to endure watching a full game of football with his future father-in-law before he got Karen’s hand in marriage – now that is dedication!

The Best Man, Geoff, then proceeded to tell the audience about Gary’s method of chatting up Karen via a work appraisal !

The wedding cake was brought out in the evening and the couple duly cut their cake before their first dance as Mr & Mrs!

Enjoy the highlights!

Kayren & Neil, Drumossie Hotel

Kayren & Neil married at St Columba’s Church, outside of Inverness with the ceremony held by Canon Donald MacKay.  Readings were made by both Terry & Allan during the service and after the vows & exchanging of rings, Allana played the whistle whilst Kayren & Neil signed the registar to officially become Mr & Mrs !

Lynne Kennedy organised the photo-shoot at the Drumossie Hotel with close friends and family before taking them around the grounds of the Hotel for the more intimate shots.

As guests mingled inside and were treated to some home-made fudge, Kayren & Neil were piped into the dining room by Neil’s friend Kevin.

Speeches followed and what speeches !  Kayren’s father welcomed Neil into the family and then the groom recounted stories of his upbringing and capers on Uist with his Best Man.  The Best Man then kept the audience entertained revealing more mishaps about Neil and his days growing up.

Enjoy the highlights!

Maria & Alan, Newton Hotel Nairn

Maria & Alan, Newton Hotel Nairn

Austrian bride Maria, married Scots born Alan, at the Newton Hotel in Nairn with their closest family & friends attending.  To surprise Maria as she walked down the aisle, Alan had pre-recorded a track “What a difference a day makes” with his vocals!

Rev Helen Cook performed the marriage ceremony whilst friends Kerstin, Owen & Klarissa played, recited and sang for the couple.

Photographer, Finlay Nicolson took the couple down to the beach before returning to the Hotel for more photos.  Being in a group of actors meant some guests were not afraid to pose in front of the camera !

After being piped into the main dining room Maria & Alan cut their cake before Alan’s father stood up to get the speeches started which were both in German and English.   Maria’s brother, Matthias, showed a short video of Maria as a young girl followed by the Best Man revealing the other girl in Alan’s life – Gertrude !

David, the usher, also spoke and had the guests in tears of laughter with his attempts at translating to German.  In case the groom forgot his own lines during the ceremony, David had prepared some cue cards for Alan!
