About Us: We’re Anna and Ross, the filmmakers behind Thistle Production, creating cinematic wedding, elopement and proposal films across Scotland — from the Highlands and Isle of Skye to Aberdeen, Inverness and beyond. Originally hailing from the picturesque Islands of Lewis and Skye, we now call Nairn home, where we live with our three wonderful children and our beloved dog.

We regularly film weddings and elopements across Scotland, including the Highlands, Isle of Skye, Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire, Inverness, and remote locations throughout the Islands. Whether it’s a large celebration or an intimate elopement, or a castle wedding, we approach every film with the same care and attention.

About Us: Anna brings the creative eye and emotional sensitivity to Thistle Production. From filming to editing, she has an instinctive understanding of pacing, storytelling and how moments should feel when played back.

She also brings a perspective that many couples value deeply — an understanding of how brides want to look on screen. From choosing flattering angles to shaping an edit that feels natural and confident, Anna’s touch ensures films feel authentic, elegant and emotionally resonant.

Her editing style focuses on connection, rhythm and storytelling — creating films that couples return to again and again.

As a team, we balance each other perfectly. Together, we work with a calm, unobtrusive presence — blending seamlessly into your day so you can be fully present with your people, your surroundings and each other.

About Us: Ross comes from a professional broadcast and media background, with experience working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, including projects for the BBC and live events. That background means nothing fazes him — changing weather, tight timelines, emotional moments, or one-chance-only events.

Weddings and elopements don’t come with second takes, and that’s exactly where Ross thrives. Calm, unobtrusive and technically meticulous, he knows how to capture moments as they unfold — without interrupting them.

Sound is vital, and Ross ensures that your vows and speeches are captured with precision; after all sound is as important as visuals. From challenging environments and windy locations like The Quirang, on the Isle of Skye to a luxury Aberdeen venue, Ross has the expertise.

We are local to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, with Ross having grown up on the Isle of Skye and Anna on the Isle of Lewis.
